The role of an institution is not only to provide academic excellence but also to encourage and empower the students to be lifelong learners and prolific members of an erchanging global society. S.D. Kanya Mahavidyala, Mansa was envisaged in 1969 to provide education to the girls of rural, semi-urban and urban areas. SDKMV has recorded more than five decades of constant development by inculcating spirits of learning and excelling in the field of sports and cultural activities. We, as an institution strive to create a learning environment that is challenging, supportive and inclusive. Our students are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuits of excellence which is possible in a holistic and student- centric environment. Our faculty is highly qualified and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of teaching, research and service to our community.

The faculty provides the learner the ability to negotiate several issues that confront them. The institution is an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activities developing every individual into a selfreliant and confident citizen. It enables them to shoulder their responsibilities towards society. SDKMV provides a variety of undergraduate, diploma, professional and short term certificate courses to cater the needs of today's world. Every new session starts with an orientation programme for the beginners to make them aware about the college curriculum. There is no doubt that academic distinction is our forte but we groom the students to face the world with utmost courage as they step outside of the institution.

I believe that 'education' is wholesome, comprehensive exercise and we strive to give a whole new meaning to the word. I am sure that relentless efforts of the faculty making the students walk an extra mile will add a new leaf to the grandeur of the institution.
