This institution started with B.A. Arts were conducted with subjects like Punjabi, Hindi, English, Political Science, Economics, History and Physical Education. But as per the demand of the time, vocational subjects like Home Science, Music Vocal, Computer Applications/ Fashion Designing were also started. 54 years ago today some enthusiastic visionary and missionary minded personalities of Mansa ventured to open an educational institute for girls education under the chairmanship of late Shri Ruldu Ramji. In 1969, this institution was started as a small college, but due to the courage and perseverance of Sanatan Dharmis, it has grown to become a leading institution in this backward area. This institute is recognized by Punjabi University, Patiala and also has the facility of 95% Grant in Aid Scheme of Punjab Government. This institution under Section 2(f) & 12 (B) of the UGC Act. 1956 recognized under The current president of the college committee.
With the support of Vinod Kumar Jindal and the entire committee, the college is making new achievements. This institution started with B.A. Arts were conducted with subjects like Punjabi, Hindi, English, Political Science, Economics, History and Physical Education. But as per the demand of the time, vocational subjects like Home Science, Music Vocal, Computer Applications/ Fashion Designing were also started. Apart from this the college offers B.C.A./B.Com /B.Lib./P.G.D.C.A./P.G. Diploma in Dressing & Tailoring/ M.A. (Punjabi)/M.Sc.IT and M.Sc (IT) (Lateral Entry) etc. courses are also running. UGC The Add-On-Spoken English course is also running successfully. Computer based Short Term Certificate Course is also being conducted by Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala from session 2022-23. Keeping in mind the convenience of the girl students, the college has made adequate arrangements for its buses. Free bus service of college van is being provided for college from Mansa bus stand. Mahavidyala Building: The two-storied college building has a large library, three ACs with internet facilities. Computer labs, home science lab with modern equipment and dress designing lab, office management department, fashion designing department, social sciences department, language department etc. are teaching departments and administrative blocks. Apart from this, sports ground, excellent staff room, spacious canteen, cycle stand, hostel, music room, gym etc. are the major parts of the building of this institution. A beautiful sculpture of Mother Saraswati, the goddess of learning in the college courtyard gives meaning to education.
